Project Summary:

At over 4000 square feet of finished living space, the Robbins’ custom home is perched atop a slope-side ledge north of Asheville in Madison County.  This full log home’s shiplap wall log profile is a slight departure from conventional milled logs and easily doubles for a stick-frame, wood sided home; a feature the Robbins’ needed to accommodate the architectural guidelines of their community.   Most notable is the home’s carefully designed floor plan, which takes full advantage of the spectacular views from the great room, loft, master suite, and expansive cedar deck.  A towering stone fireplace surrounded by winding heavy timber stairs to the loft is the home’s centerpiece feature.
