How do I remove old gloss paint from brass?
The brass item has an irregular surface
I have just cleaned some antique Victorian Brass lighting fittings. They are Very Ornate with all sorts of crevices in them. I used Nitromors Paint Stripper. Wearing rubber gloves and protective goggles, apply the stripper with a paintbrush. Allow the process to do its thing and when you see the paint shrivel up, take an old tooth brush to completely remove all the paint. Rinse with cold water when you have removed all residue.This job is best done out of doors or at least in a well ventilated area.
